Sitting Information

A photo sitting with me will not be like any other sitting you may have done before. I think that your photo experience should be unique to you, personal, relaxing, and above all, fun. Please feel free to call me before your shoot to ask any questions and talk about any ideas for your shoot that you may have.

Please be on time for your shoot. Sittings are scheduled in one hour blocks, and most likely someone is scheduled after your hour.

Bring a friend.
Feel free to bring a friend or family member whether they will be photographed with you or not.

If you like, please bring cd’s of your choice to play during the sitting.

I DO NOT supply makeup. Please bring any that you will need for touchups. Don't forget your hairbrush, comb, and hairspray or gel.

Glitter makup looks cute in person, but it does not play well with the flashes I use; you will end up with bright white specks all over your face.

Bring as many changes of clothes as you like. I have a private changing area and makeup area in the studio. It’s also a good idea to bring some hair ties, barrettes, etc. to change your hair style.

If you wear glasses, bring them. If possible, ask you optometrist to use a pair of frames without lenses which look like your normal glasses, or have them remove the lenses from your glasses. If you use glasses and contacts, bring both.

Feel free to bring any other props you would like to use. If you play a sport, bring a piece of gear, play an instrument, bring it. Pets are also welcome, but please let me know in advance, and bring a friend to take care of the pet when they are not being photographed. Pets must have current shots. Sorry, no snakes.

It pays to think about what poses and settings you would like to use before showing up for the sitting. Think about what color backdrops you would like, what clothes you will wear, how to do your hair, etc.

A sitting includes 24 photos. We will shoot many more photos then that, and I select the best photos from the shoot. It is normal that you will remember taking photos that you do not see in your proofs. Photos may be cut due to technical or other issues, I just ask you to trust my judgment.

One last thing to keep in mind; if you have an idea for a photograph, pose, prop, etc., please bring it up! I’m always up for trying new things, no matter how different. Remember, these are YOUR photographs, they should reflect your personality and interests.

Payment for your sitting is due at time of sitting.

Sorry, no credit cards. Cash or personal checks gladly accepted.
